The Telegram Module

The Telegram Module monitors for any chat and channel you have associated with the phone number you provide in the module. To activate this module, you will need to provide the phone number, an API ID and an API Hash. You can generate those by visiting the Telegram Development Tools.

Telegram Development Tools Portal

Just log-in with your phone number (you probably want to use a burner phone for this!) and the confirmation code you will receive in the app on your phone.

Login code on your telegram app

You will see an App API ID and API Hash, as well as an App title and short name. Just fill in ‘Liberty91’ for both of those, and fill in the API-values in the Liberty91 Telegram Module.

copy the API ID and API Hash in your Liberty91 Telegram Module

Liberty91 will then connect with your Telegram-account. You will have to provide a confirmation code that you will receive in the app on your phone.

Once a connection is established, you will be able to see all your channels and contacts in the module. It is recommended to not use your personal Telegram account for this, because all your personal contacts and potentially their chats will be loaded into Libery91 if you do.

You can now activate the channels and chats you want to monitor and import into Liberty91.
