# The News Module

The news module is free to use and offers a wide range of security news and blog sources to choose from. By default, all sources are activated, but if you find some of them to be too noisy or not adding any value, you can deactivate them in this module. New news pops up in the first column on the left on the [Recent Threats Dashboard](/dashboards/recent-threats-dashboard.md).
